Near Jericho, a blind man sitting by the roadside heard that it was Jesus.
He shouted, saying: “Have mercy on me, Son of David!” The crowd rebuked him, that he should be quiet. He shouted even louder, “Have mercy on me, Son of David!”
Jesus stopped, (saying,) “What do you want me to do for you?” He told him, “That I may see!”
(Then Jesus healed him and) at once he saw and he followed him.
