Near Jericho, a blind man sitting by the roadside heard that Jesus was
passing by.
He shouted, saying: “Have mercy on me, Son of David!”
The crowd rebuked him, that he should be quiet.
He shouted even louder, “Have mercy on me, Son of David!”
Jesus stopped, (saying,) “What do you want me to do for you?”
He told him, “That I may see again!”
Then Jesus healed him and at once he saw and he followed him.
