and because

the gospel, Mk 10:30: who shall not receive a hundredfold now in this time– houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions– |

kingdom
of

Someone asked, “Teacher, what shall I do to have eternal life?” Jesus
said to him, “Why do you ask me about good? Nobody is good except for
one, (God).
(You ⸂know¦follow⸃) the commandments: ‘Do not murder.’ ‘Do not commit adultery.’ ‘Do not steal.’ ‘Do not give false testimony.’ ‘Honor your father and mother.’”
He replied, “All these I have observed.”
Jesus told him, “Sell what you own, give to the destitute, and you will have treasure in heaven.
And come, follow me.”
Hearing it, he was sad, because he had many possessions.
Jesus said, “The rich will enter with difficulty into the kingdom of God!
It is easier for a camel to enter through the eye of a needle than for a rich person into the kingdom of God.”
They said, “Who can be saved?” Jesus replied, “What is impossible for people, is possible for God.”
Then Peter said, “See, we have left everything and followed you.”
Jesus said to them, “Truly I tell you,
all who have left home, siblings, parents, or children
for ⎡my sake|the sake of the kingdom of God|the sake of the Gospel⎤
will receive many times as much and eternal life.”
