Mt 5:29: εἰ δὲ ὁ
ὀφθαλμός σου ὁ δεξιὸς
σκανδαλίζει σε, ἔξελε
αὐτὸν καὶ βάλε ἀπὸ σοῦ· συμφέρει γάρ
σοι ἵνα ἀπόληται ἓν
τῶν μελῶν σου καὶ μὴ ὅλον τὸ σῶμά σου
βληθῇ εἰς
γέενναν. Mt 5:30: καὶ
εἰ ἡ δεξιά σου
χεὶρ σκανδαλίζει σε,
ἔκκοψον αὐτὴν καὶ βάλε ἀπὸ σοῦ·
συμφέρει γάρ σοι ἵνα
ἀπόληται ἓν τῶν
μελῶν σου καὶ μὴ ὅλον
τὸ σῶμά σου εἰς
γέενναν ἀπέλθῃ.¶ |

Mt 5:29: And if your right
eye causes you
to stumble, pluck
it out and cast [it] from you. For
it is better
for you that one
of your members
should perish and not [that] your
whole body should be
cast into
Gehenna. Mt 5:30: And if your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off and cast [it] from you, for it is better for you that one of your members should perish and not [that] your whole body should depart into Gehenna. |

better for you to
enter into life crippled or lame, than
having two hands or two feet,
to be cast
