Mt 14:22: Καὶ εὐθέως ἠνάγκασεν τοὺς μαθητὰς Mk 6:45: Καὶ εὐθὺς ἠνάγκασεν τοὺς μαθητὰς αὐτοῦ Jn 6:16: Ὡς δὲ ὀψία ἐγένετο κατέβησαν οἱ μαθηταὶ αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ τὴν θάλασσαν
ἐμβῆναι εἰς τὸ πλοῖον ἐμβῆναι εἰς τὸ πλοῖον

Jn 6:17: καὶ ἐμβάντες εἰς πλοῖον

καὶ προάγειν αὐτὸν εἰς τὸ πέραν, ἕως οὗ ἀπολύσῃ τοὺς ὄχλους. καὶ προάγειν εἰς τὸ πέραν πρὸς Βηθσαϊδάν, ἕως αὐτὸς ἀπολύει τὸν ὄχλον. ἤρχοντο πέραν τῆς θαλάσσης εἰς Καφαρναούμ.

Mt 14:23: καὶ ἀπολύσας τοὺς ὄχλους ἀνέβη εἰς τὸ ὄρος κατ᾽ ἰδίαν προσεύξασθαι.

Mk 6:46: καὶ ἀποταξάμενος αὐτοῖς ἀπῆλθεν εἰς τὸ ὄρος προσεύξασθαι.

Jn 6:15: Ἰησοῦς οὖν γνοὺς ὅτι μέλλουσιν ἔρχεσθαι καὶ ἁρπάζειν αὐτὸν ἵνα ποιήσωσιν βασιλέα, ἀνεχώρησεν πάλιν εἰς τὸ ὄρος αὐτὸς μόνος.

ὀψίας δὲ γενομένης μόνος ἦν ἐκεῖ.

Mt 14:24: τὸ δὲ πλοῖον ἤδη σταδίους πολλοὺς ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς ἀπεῖχεν

Mk 6:47: Καὶ ὀψίας γενομένης ἦν τὸ πλοῖον ἐν μέσῳ τῆς θαλάσσης, καὶ αὐτὸς μόνος ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς.

Jn 6:17: καὶ σκοτία ἤδη ἐγεγόνει καὶ οὔπω ἐληλύθει πρὸς αὐτοὺς ὁ Ἰησοῦς,

βασανιζόμενον ὑπὸ τῶν κυμάτων, ἦν γὰρ ἐναντίος ὁ ἄνεμος.

Mk 6:48: καὶ ἰδὼν αὐτοὺς βασανιζομένους ἐν τῷ ἐλαύνειν, ἦν γὰρ ὁ ἄνεμος ἐναντίος αὐτοῖς,

Jn 6:18: ἥ τε θάλασσα ἀνέμου μεγάλου πνέοντος διεγείρετο.

Mt 14:25: Τετάρτῃ δὲ φυλακῇ τῆς νυκτὸς ἦλθεν πρὸς αὐτοὺς περιπατῶν ἐπὶ τὴν θάλασσαν.

περὶ τετάρτην φυλακὴν τῆς νυκτὸς ἔρχεται πρὸς αὐτοὺς περιπατῶν ἐπὶ τῆς θαλάσσης καὶ ἤθελεν παρελθεῖν αὐτούς.  

Mt 14:26: οἱ δὲ μαθηταὶ ἰδόντες αὐτὸν ἐπὶ τῆς θαλάσσης περιπατοῦντα

Mk 6:49: οἱ δὲ ἰδόντες αὐτὸν ἐπὶ τῆς θαλάσσης περιπατοῦντα ἔδοξαν ὅτι φάντασμά ἐστιν, καὶ ἀνέκραξαν·

Jn 6:19: Ἐληλακότες οὖν ὡς σταδίους εἴκοσι πέντε ἢ τριάκοντα θεωροῦσιν τὸν Ἰησοῦν περιπατοῦντα ἐπὶ τῆς θαλάσσης καὶ ἐγγὺς τοῦ πλοίου γινόμενον,

ἐταράχθησαν λέγοντες

Mk 6:50: πάντες γὰρ αὐτὸν εἶδον καὶ ἐταράχθησαν.

καὶ ἐφοβήθησαν.
ὅτι Φάντασμά ἐστιν, καὶ ἀπὸ τοῦ φόβου ἔκραξαν.

Mt 14:27: Εὐθὺς δὲ ἐλάλησεν ὁ Ἰησοῦς αὐτοῖς λέγων·

ὁ Δὲ εὐθὺς ἐλάλησεν μετ᾽ αὐτῶν, καὶ λέγει αὐτοῖς·

Jn 6:20: ὁ δὲ λέγει αὐτοῖς·

Θαρσεῖτε, ἐγώ εἰμι· Θαρσεῖτε, ἐγώ εἰμι· Ἐγώ εἰμι·
μὴ φοβεῖσθε. μὴ φοβεῖσθε. μὴ φοβεῖσθε.

Mt 14:32: Καὶ ἀναβάντων αὐτῶν εἰς τὸ πλοῖον ἐκόπασεν ὁ ἄνεμος.

Mk 6:51: καὶ ἀνέβη πρὸς αὐτοὺς εἰς τὸ πλοῖον καὶ ἐκόπασεν ὁ ἄνεμος, καὶ λίαν ἐκ περισσοῦ ἐν ἑαυτοῖς ἐξίσταντο·

Jn 6:21: ἤθελον οὖν λαβεῖν αὐτὸν εἰς τὸ πλοῖον, καὶ εὐθέως ἐγένετο τὸ πλοῖον ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς εἰς ἣν ὑπῆγον.¶

Mt 14:22: And immediately He compelled the disciples Mk 6:45: And immediately He compelled His disciples Jn 6:16: Now when it became evening, His disciples went down to the sea,
to enter into the boat to enter into the boat

Jn 6:17: and having entered into a boat,

and to go before Him to the other side, until He would have dismissed the crowds. and to go before [Him] to the other side, to Bethsaida, until He should dismiss the crowd. they were going over the sea to Capernaum.

Mt 14:23: And having dismissed the crowds, He went up on the mountain by Himself to pray.

Mk 6:46: And having taken leave of them, He departed into the mountain to pray.

Jn 6:15: Therefore Jesus, having known that they are about to come and to seize Him that they might make [Him] king, withdrew again to the mountain Himself alone.

And evening having arrived, He was there alone,

Mt 14:24: and the boat being now many stadia from the land,

Mk 6:47: And evening having come, the boat was in the midst of the sea, and He alone upon the land.

Jn 6:17: And already it had become dark, and Jesus had not come to them.

tossed by the waves, for the wind was contrary.

Mk 6:48: And He having seen them straining in the rowing– for the wind was contrary to them–

Jn 6:18: The sea was agitated and a strong wind is blowing.

Mt 14:25: And in [the] fourth watch of the night, He went to them, walking on the sea.

about [the] fourth watch of the night, He comes to them, walking on the sea, and He was wishing to pass by them.  

Mt 14:26: And the disciples having seen Him walking on the sea,

Mk 6:49: And having seen Him walking on the sea, they thought that [it] is a ghost, and cried out.

Jn 6:19: Therefore, having rowed about twenty-five or thirty stadia, they see Jesus walking on the sea and coming near the boat,

were troubled saying,

Mk 6:50: For all saw Him and were troubled.

and they were frightened.
“It is a ghost!” And they cried out in fear.

Mt 14:27: But immediately Jesus spoke to them saying,

And immediately He spoke with them, and says to them,

Jn 6:20: Now He says to them,

“Take courage! It is I. “Take courage; I am [He]; “I am [He];
Fear not.” fear not.” do not fear.”

Mt 14:32: And they having entered into the boat, the wind ceased.

Mk 6:51: And He went up to them into the boat, and the wind ceased. And exceedingly in abundance they were amazed in themselves,

Jn 6:21: Then they were willing to receive Him into the boat, and immediately the boat was at the land to which they were going.

 

 


Jesus went up the mountain. The disciples got into a boat, to cross the sea.

It became dark. There was a strong wind.

They were far from land.

They saw Jesus walking on the sea.

They were frightened. He said to them, “It is I. Do not fear!”

He got into the boat.
