A House Divided

Mt 12:24-32; (Mt 9:34;) Mk 3:20-29; Lk 11:14-22 & Lk 12:10

Mt9 Mt Mk Lk

Mt 12:26: καὶ εἰ Σατανᾶς τὸν Σατανᾶν ἐκβάλλει, ἐφ᾽ ἑαυτὸν ἐμερίσθη· πῶς οὖν σταθήσεται ἡ βασιλεία αὐτοῦ;

Mk 3:23: Καὶ προσκαλεσάμενος αὐτοὺς ἐν παραβολαῖς ἔλεγεν αὐτοῖς· Πῶς δύναται Σατανᾶς Σατανᾶν ἐκβάλλειν;

Mt9 Mt Mk Lk
Mt 9:34: But the Pharisees were saying, “By the prince of the demons He casts out demons.” Mt 12:24: And [the] Pharisees having heard, said, “This [man] casts out the demons only by Beelzebul, [the] prince of the demons.”

Mt 12:25: And having known their thoughts, He said to them, “Every kingdom having been divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house having been divided against itself will not stand.

Mt 12:26: And if Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then will his kingdom stand?

Mt 12:31: Because of this I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men; but blasphemy against [the] Spirit will not be forgiven.

Mt 12:32: And if anyone speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but if anyone speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, neither in this age nor in the coming [one].

Mk 3:22: And the scribes, those having come down from Jerusalem, were saying, “He has Beelzebul,” and “By the prince of the demons He casts out the demons.”

Mk 3:23: And having called them to [Him], He began speaking to them in parables: “How is Satan able to cast out Satan?

Mk 3:24: And if a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom is not able to stand.

Mk 3:25: And if a house is divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand.

Mk 3:26: And if Satan has risen up against himself and has been divided, he is not able to stand, but is coming to an end.

Mk 3:28: Truly I say to you that all sins and blasphemies will be forgiven the sons of men, as many as they shall have blasphemed.

Mk 3:29: But whoever shall blaspheme against the Holy Spirit does not have forgiveness, to the age, but is guilty [of] eternal sin.”

Lk 11:15: And some of them said, “By Beelzebul the prince of the demons He casts out the demons.”

Lk 11:17: And He knowing their thoughts, said to them, “Every kingdom having been divided against itself is brought to desolation; and a house against a house falls.

Lk 11:18: And if Satan also is divided against himself, how will his kingdom stand? For you say I cast out the demons by Beelzebul.

Lk 12:10: And everyone who will speak a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but the [one] having blasphemed against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven.

Some said: “He expels demons by Beelzebul, the leader of demons.”

(Jesus) said: “A kingdom divided against itself ⎡is laid waste|can not stand⎤,

and a house (divided) against itself ⎡falls|does not stand⎤.

If Satan is divided against himself, he cannot stand.

⎡Blasphemy|saying a word (against the Son of the Person)⎤ will be forgiven,

but whoever ⸂blasphemes¦speaks⸃ against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven.
