Mt 9:9-13, Mk 2:13-17, Lk 5:27-32

Mt 9:9: Καὶ παράγων ὁ Ἰησοῦς ἐκεῖθεν εἶδεν ἄνθρωπον καθήμενον ἐπὶ τὸ τελώνιον, Μαθθαῖον λεγόμενον, καὶ λέγει αὐτῷ· Ἀκολούθει μοι. καὶ ἀναστὰς ἠκολούθησεν αὐτῷ.¶

Mt 9:10: Καὶ ἐγένετο αὐτοῦ ἀνακειμένου ἐν τῇ οἰκίᾳ, καὶ ἰδοὺ πολλοὶ τελῶναι καὶ ἁμαρτωλοὶ ἐλθόντες συνανέκειντο τῷ Ἰησοῦ καὶ τοῖς μαθηταῖς αὐτοῦ.

Mt 9:11: καὶ ἰδόντες οἱ Φαρισαῖοι ἔλεγον τοῖς μαθηταῖς αὐτοῦ· Διὰ τί μετὰ τῶν τελωνῶν καὶ ἁμαρτωλῶν ἐσθίει ὁ διδάσκαλος ὑμῶν;

Mt 9:12: Ὁ δὲ ἀκούσας εἶπεν· Οὐ χρείαν ἔχουσιν οἱ ἰσχύοντες ἰατροῦ ἀλλ᾽ οἱ κακῶς ἔχοντες.

Mt 9:13: πορευθέντες δὲ μάθετε τί ἐστιν· Ἔλεος θέλω καὶ οὐ θυσίαν· οὐ γὰρ ἦλθον καλέσαι δικαίους ἀλλὰ ἁμαρτωλούς.

Mk 2:14: Καὶ παράγων εἶδεν Λευὶν τὸν τοῦ Ἁλφαίου καθήμενον ἐπὶ τὸ τελώνιον, καὶ λέγει αὐτῷ· Ἀκολούθει μοι. καὶ ἀναστὰς ἠκολούθησεν αὐτῷ.¶

Mk 2:15: Καὶ γίνεται κατακεῖσθαι αὐτὸν ἐν τῇ οἰκίᾳ αὐτοῦ, καὶ πολλοὶ τελῶναι καὶ ἁμαρτωλοὶ συνανέκειντο τῷ Ἰησοῦ καὶ τοῖς μαθηταῖς αὐτοῦ· ἦσαν γὰρ πολλοὶ καὶ ἠκολούθουν αὐτῷ.

Mk 2:16: καὶ οἱ γραμματεῖς τῶν Φαρισαίων ἰδόντες ὅτι ἐσθίει μετὰ τῶν ἁμαρτωλῶν καὶ τελωνῶν ἔλεγον τοῖς μαθηταῖς αὐτοῦ· Ὅτι μετὰ τῶν τελωνῶν καὶ ἁμαρτωλῶν ἐσθίει;

Mk 2:17: Καὶ ἀκούσας ὁ Ἰησοῦς λέγει αὐτοῖς ὅτι Οὐ χρείαν ἔχουσιν οἱ ἰσχύοντες ἰατροῦ ἀλλ᾽ οἱ κακῶς ἔχοντες· οὐκ ἦλθον καλέσαι δικαίους ἀλλὰ ἁμαρτωλούς.¶

Lk 5:27: Καὶ μετὰ ταῦτα ἐξῆλθεν καὶ ἐθεάσατο τελώνην ὀνόματι Λευὶν καθήμενον ἐπὶ τὸ τελώνιον, καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῷ· Ἀκολούθει μοι.

Lk 5:28: καὶ καταλιπὼν πάντα ἀναστὰς ἠκολούθει αὐτῷ.

Lk 5:29: Καὶ ἐποίησεν δοχὴν μεγάλην Λευὶς αὐτῷ ἐν τῇ οἰκίᾳ αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἦν ὄχλος πολὺς τελωνῶν καὶ ἄλλων οἳ ἦσαν μετ᾽ αὐτῶν κατακείμενοι.

Lk 5:30: καὶ ἐγόγγυζον οἱ Φαρισαῖοι καὶ οἱ γραμματεῖς αὐτῶν πρὸς τοὺς μαθητὰς αὐτοῦ λέγοντες· Διὰ τί μετὰ τῶν τελωνῶν καὶ ἁμαρτωλῶν ἐσθίετε καὶ πίνετε;

Lk 5:31: Καὶ ἀποκριθεὶς ὁ Ἰησοῦς εἶπεν πρὸς αὐτούς· Οὐ χρείαν ἔχουσιν οἱ ὑγιαίνοντες ἰατροῦ ἀλλὰ οἱ κακῶς ἔχοντες·

Lk 5:32: οὐκ ἐλήλυθα καλέσαι δικαίους ἀλλὰ ἁμαρτωλοὺς εἰς μετάνοιαν.¶

Mt 9:9: And Jesus passing on from there saw a man called Matthew sitting at the tax booth. And He says to him, “Follow Me.” And having arisen, he followed Him.

Mt 9:10: And it came to pass, of Him reclining in the house, that behold, many tax collectors and sinners having come, were reclining with Jesus and His disciples.

Mt 9:11: And having seen [it], the Pharisees said to His disciples, “Why does your Teacher eat with the tax collectors and sinners?”

Mt 9:12: And having heard, He said, “Not those being strong have need of a physician, but those being sick.

Mt 9:13: But having gone, learn what is, ‘I desire mercy and not sacrifice.’ For I came not to call [the] righteous, but sinners.”

Mk 2:14: And passing on, He saw Levi the [son] of Alphaeus sitting at the tax booth, and says to him, “Follow Me.” And having arisen, he followed Him.

Mk 2:15: And it came to pass in His reclining in his house, that many tax collectors and sinners were reclining with Jesus and His disciples; for there were many, and they were following Him.

Mk 2:16: And the scribes of the Pharisees, having seen Him eating with the sinners and tax collectors, were saying to His disciples, “Why does He eat with the tax collectors and sinners?”

Mk 2:17: And Jesus having heard, says to them, “Those being strong have no need of a physician, but those being sick. I did not come to call [the] righteous, but sinners.”

Lk 5:27: And after these things He went forth and saw a tax collector named Levi sitting at the tax booth. And He said to him, “Follow Me.”

Lk 5:28: And having left all, having arisen, he began to follow Him.

Lk 5:29: And Levi made a great banquet for Him in his house, and there was a great multitude of tax collectors and others, who were reclining with them.

Lk 5:30: And the Pharisees and their scribes were grumbling at His disciples, saying, “Why do you eat and drink with the tax collectors and sinners?”

Lk 5:31: And Jesus answering, said to them, “Those being well have no need of a physician, but those being sick.

Lk 5:32: I have not come to call righteous [ones], but sinners, to repentance.”

 

 

 


He saw ⸂Levi¦Matthew⸃ sitting at the tax collector’s desk. Jesus said to him, “Follow me!” So he got up and followed him.

At the house, many tax collectors were eating with him (Jesus).

The Pharisees said to his disciples, “Why do you eat with tax collectors and sinners?”

Jesus: “It is not the healthy who need a physician, but the sick. I did not come to call righteous people, but sinners.”
